The National Breast Cancer had its awareness month of 2011 in September and the State secretary, Sebelius gave the government’s statement and reminded Americans of the importance to prevent and detect cancer at an early stage. In 2011 alone, the U.S. had over 230,000 diagnosed cases and about 40,000 will certainly die directly from breast cancer. They urge mammography screening on a regular basis as well as taking all possible steps in prevention of breast cancer. The Affordable Care Act is in place to help all women through the costly procedures in breast cancer treatment.
The U.S. Health Services also have their annual Mental Illness week in October and cannot stress enough of the grave importance in prevention and treatment of mental health of all U.S. citizens. Anxiety disorders, social phobias, Bipolar disorders, depression, Aids & HIV treatment and research, eating disorders, Borderline personality disorders and suicide prevention are amongst the many aspects that the U.S. Health Services take very serious and give close attention to. Even Flu is taken very seriously and the prevention of Flu is highly promoted in the U.S. as an astonishing amount of individuals of all ages dies from Flu each year. The prevention and also care is something close to heart.
Funds donated and paid to the U.S. Health services for 2011 shows that $100.3 Billion were used for Heath Care Improving and Preserving. Health IT received $22.6 Billion and $13.5 Billion was used for Children and Community Services. Scientific Research and facilities used $10.0 Billion. Community Health used $2.8 Billion, Prevention and Wellness used $1.0 Billion and Comparative Effectiveness Research used+ $1.1 Billion.
