Qualifications include a commitment of time and goals to promoting the welfare of the Medical Center and to extending the Sisters' mission.

Volunteers should be:

• Extroverted
• Mature
• Positive
• Service-oriented
• Able to communicate clearly in English (bilingual skills are helpful)
• Able to provide emotional support to families in crisis

In addition, volunteers should have the ability to take initiative and have flexibility in assuming differing roles as needed to provide comfort for patients and families in the lobby waiting areas.
