This three-hour class, in conjunction with Newborn Care, is recommended for any pregnant woman considering breastfeeding her infant. Included will be a discussion of the advantages of breastfeeding, anatomy of the breast, how breast milk is produced, preparation for breastfeeding, common concerns of breastfeeding and working, and proper positioning of the infant while nursing. This class also includes general information on caring for a newborn.
