Be a tram driver!

Tram Drivers Wanted!
Duties include transporting patients, visitors and employees from parking lots to the hospital and medical office buildings, operating a security portable radio.

As a tram driver, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Checking the tram to be sure it's in good working order
  • Filling the tram with gas, when needed
  • Cleaning the seat
  • Keeping the tram stored in the gated, locked area

As you drive patients and their families around the campus, you'll be polite and courteous, and of course, you'll operate the tram in a safe manner, making sure that all passengers are seated or unloaded before moving the tram. The tram is to operated in the parking lots only, and never operated during periods of heavy rain or in unsafe conditions.

AM Admits/Pre-Surgical Testing                                                                                               Duties include greeting patients, assisting patients, escorting patients by foot or by wheelchair, delivering specimens, picking up paperwork from the business office, charts in medical records and lab results from a computer, photocopying, creating chart packets and answering phones.

Care and Providing Service [CAPS]                                                                                                                                          Duties include messenger and clerical support to requesting departments, running errands, answering phones, light typing, filing and copying, mass mailings, and registration for various events, including the hospital's annual update for employees.

Spiritual Care                                                                                                                                  Duties include serving as Eucharistic Ministers, assisting patient and family visitors, and assisting in other spiritual care activities, such as Bereavement Services.
